Sky Sports pundit urges Sean Dyche to play Everton striker Ellis Simms over Neal Maupay
Kevin Campbell believes that Ellis Simms will be a better option to lead the line for Everton than summer signing Neal Maupay.
The former Brighton striker started the game against Arsenal and struggled as the Toffees ended up losing 4-0 on 1 March.
Campbell, who is a pundit for Sky Sports, believes that Sean Dyche should drop Maupay in order for the 22-year-old to be given another chance to lead the line.

He said on Premier League Productions (01/03, 10:18pm), “Might be a little bit of pressure on Ellis Simms. He’s scored wherever he’s gone. I think he’ll get a chance ahead of Maupay now. Dyche should bring him in.”
Makes sense
The signing of Maupay was such a pointless one as his record at Brighton was nothing to write home about.
He was criticised by the fans there for not being a good finisher despite the players around him creating chances on a plate for him.
At Everton, he has done little to turn that around and Simms is someone who has proved himself out on loan in the past and this season as well.

He will work the hard yards under Dyche and if he’s given a run of three or four games, he will also gain confidence and we could see a different player come April.
Of course, the hope is for Dominic Calvert-Lewin to return to full fitness but it’s not possible to rely on him staying fit for too long.
Hopefully, Simms can start scoring a few goals so that he can nail down his place in the starting eleven for the coming weeks.
