Former Liverpool striker Don Hutchison makes Everton relegation prediction after Nottingham Forest draw

Former Liverpool and Everton striker Don Hutchison predicts the Toffees to avoid relegation as they secured a 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest.

Going to the City Ground on Sunday, 5 March, Sean Dyche had not picked up a single point from his travels since taking over.

However, he changed that by securing a draw and Hutchison thinks that’ll be enough for them to stay up.

Hutchison, who is also a pundit at BBC, said on the Premier League Weekend Wrap (23:20, 05/03) “There’s enough for them to stay up. That point will be vital. You know what you’re getting with Dyche. It’s not going to be pretty.”

Important result

Everton may feel that they could’ve won this game, but unfortunately, Forest managed to get something out of it and that’s something Dyche won’t be too pleased with.

However, there’s a clear blueprint about how they play and we’re delighted to see the players responding well to it.

They look more organised defensively and playing Demarai Gray up front proved to be the right call and something we expect more of in the future.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin needs to get fit as soon as possible as he’s certainly a guaranteed starter when fit and is ideal for the way Dyche likes to play.

Hopefully, Everton can now go on an unbeaten run for the next five or six games as that will be vital for their Premier League survival.

They face Brentford at Goodison Park next weekend and that’s certainly a contest they can fancy winning as the Bees aren’t expected to take the game to them.
