Sky Sports pundit gushes over Everton attacker Dwight McNeil

Jermaine Beckford believes that Everton attacker Dwight McNeil has been performing exceptionally well under Sean Dyche who he worked with at Burnley.

The Toffees winger has been a mainstay since Dyche took over at the end of January and has been operating on the left flank.

He once again featured against Nottingham Forest as they picked up a point on Sunday, 5 March, with the score being 2-2.

Speaking on the Premier League Weekend Wrap Up, Beckford, a Sky Sports pundit, said on 06/03, 22:21, “McNeil has been phenomenal. Has the energy, playing crosses into the box. Been really good under Dyche.”

Right manager

McNeil often looked clueless under Frank Lampard who seemed to have no idea as to how to bring the best out of the English attacker.

Some of the 23-year-old’s best football has come under Dyche and it’s no surprise that he’s suddenly looking like a player reborn after his appointment.

All that’s missing is a tall striker inside the penalty area for McNeil to find as he’s got the ability to pick out his man as he did at Burnley.

Still only 23, he can go on to become one of the best English wide players if he continues to improve and Dyche will be the right manager to get him to that level.

He’s still got some way to go but Everton fans can be excited as they’ve got a real talent on their hands and hopefully, he manages to stay fit.

There’s also the question of relegation and if they fail to stay up, we will not be surprised if one of the Premier League sides come in for the left winger.
