Everton target Anthony Elanga told he can seek Manchester United exit in the summer
Everton could be handed a major boost in seeking a first-team transfer in the summer as Anthony Elanga has been told by Manchester United that he can quit.
According to 90 Min [6 March], the Sweden international, along with a number of players have been told that they’re free to go.
Whether or not Elanga plies his trade at another club on loan or a permanent transfer is still undecided, but his future next season is likely to be away from Old Trafford.

Everton, who did not sign anyone in January were keeping tabs on the 20-year-old and his availability could ring alarm bells at the club.
He’s won the club’s young player of the year award in 2020 but hasn’t quite kicked on as he would’ve wanted to for the first team.
If he’s there on loan, there could be a deal worth making as even if he does not strengthen the first team, he’s a good option to bring off the bench.
Predominantly a left winger, Elanga has featured on the right and down the middle as well and will give Sean Dyche numerous options to deploy him.

On a personal note too, he will have plenty of people to prove wrong and doing it at another Premier League club will be the best thing for him.
However, all of this is likely to depend on Everton’s Premier League status as Elanga may not want to play in the second tier next season.
United are one of Europe’s richest clubs and their billionaire owners are looking to sell the club so any new investment is likely to see them splurge in the window and Elanga will fall further down the pecking order.
It remains to be seen whether or not the Toffees do end up buying him in the summer.
