Everton trio face late fitness tests v Brentford

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Nathan Patterson and Vitalii Mykolenko face late fitness tests ahead of the Everton v Brentford Premier League clash.

According to injury expert Ben Dinnery, Patterson has just a 25 per cent chance of being fit while Calvert-Lewin and Mykolenko have a 50 and 75 per cent chance respectively.

The Ukrainian has trained this week and is likely to be available while the Englishman has gone through the rehabilitation process and stepped on to the grass in the past few days.

Everton

Win this

With two players ruled out, the Bees are set to travel north to take on the Toffees at Goodison Park on Saturday, 11 March, with both having different goals for the season.

For Everton, Premier League safety is the be all and end all while Brentford are looking to be ambitious as they stay in the hunt to qualify for Europe.

Should Calvert-Lewin make it, Everton’s chances to win this will dramatically increase as they can play their direct brand of football with him as the outlet.

Everton

In the 1-0 win over Arsenal, he may not have scored, but was constantly occupying the Gunners defenders with the players around him running into the vacant spaces.

He can also be a goal threat when not properly dealt with and it will be interesting to see whether or not he starts this one.

Demarai Gray did well last time and Dyche is likely to go with him and keep Calvert-Lewin on the bench if he’s fit.
