Dele Alli set to miss out on 'insane' Besiktas windfall with Everton return now set
Dele Alli is set to leave Besiktas at the end of the season to return to Everton and will miss out on an “insane” level of pay for Turkey, according to MyNet.
The former Tottenham Hotspur man joined the Turkish on loan last summer, with a deal potentially becoming permanent depending on how the 26-year-old midfielder performs in Istanbul [Sky Sports, 25 August].
But that is in little danger of happening as he has struggled to impress his new team, making just 10 Turkish Super League starts, with his massive wages apparently leaving fans in the country “amazed”.
And according to Turkish media outlet MyNet [13 March], the player is expected to return to Goodison Park for next season with manager Şenol Güneş “no longer” having hopes for him.
“The black and white team, who decided not to make an attempt on the star player, whom Şenol Güneş no longer hopes for, will send Dele Alli to Everton at the end of the season.
“One of Everton’s highest-paid players, Dele Alli earns £5.2m a year excluding bonuses.

“Beşiktaş, on the other hand, covers 1.8 million pounds of this money. The money earned by Dele Alli, which was rented with the option to buy, amazed Turkish fans.
“If Beşiktaş had transferred Dele Alli for £2 million with the option to buy, the star player would have earned an insane amount of £2.6 million annually from the black and white players.”
Lucky escape
Besiktas have certainly been handed a lucky escape according to those reports.
The former Tottenham Hotspur man already holds such huge wages at Goodison Park and could well have pocketed a hefty sum had the club agreed to different loan terms.
However, the player has shown a considerable and dramatic decline for the past few years now, and it was hugely unlikely he would return back to something of his best at the Turkish giants.
How Everton plan to get rid of him this summer with his current Goodison deal running till 2024 is incredibly uncertain, because they are certainly paying hefty sums for his wage package already, even when he’s not even representing the club right now.
The club may lose more money if they come to a mutual termination. Huge decision to come this summer.
