Ian Abrahams takes swipe at Everton fans as Chelsea footage emerges after 2-2 draw

TalkSPORT reporter Ian Abrahams has taken a dig at the travelling Everton fans after Sean Dyche’s side drew 2-2 with Chelsea on Saturday evening.

Goals from Abdoulaye Doucouré and Ellis Simms saw Everton come from behind twice to earn a priceless point at Stamford Bridge (18 March).

However, Abrahams has since claimed the travelling support were celebrating a “famous draw” after the full-time whistle blew in West London.

“The Everton fans celebrate their famous draw here tonight at The Bridge,” said the talkSPORT correspondent (via Twitter, 18 March).

Celebration police

Watch out everybody, the celebration police are out once again. Since when did it become a trend to slam a group of fans for celebrating a significant moment before, during or after a game? A young player has just scored a brilliant goal in the dying embers of a Premier League fixture to salvage a vital draw, what’s not to like?

This point could be the difference between Everton sealing their Premier League survival or falling into the Championship. The reason Chelsea fans aren’t celebrating, in the same way, is that their side should be comfortable dealing with the Toffees.

They’ve spent a ludicrous amount of money on some of the best players in the World and their fans are right to expect more than what is currently being served up. A mass exodus from the home fans was to be expected.

Away fans being called out for celebrating is becoming a regular occurrence and quite frankly those who are doing so look rather silly. Moose, this isn’t a good look.
