Pundit makes Everton striker Ellis Simms Finch Farm admission after Chelsea display
Michael Ball admits that Everton striker Ellis Simms will be buzzing at Finch Farm all week after scoring in the 2-2 draw against Chelsea.
The Toffees forward came off the bench to score a late equaliser and secure a point from Stamford Bridge on Saturday, 18 March.
Ball has also been impressed by the ugly stuff he does off the ball and behind the scenes that fans do not take notice of.
He told the Liverpool Echo, “Just to get the goal and getting that box ticked will be great for his confidence but the manner of the way he did it will ensure he’ll be flying high at Finch Farm this week. He’s had to work hard, he’s had to be patient and do all the ugly stuff that fans don’t see.
“No matter what age you are, you always need regular football to be on form and find your rhythm and trying to do that will clearly be the next step for Ellis. It’s down to him now to show to Sean Dyche and the coaching staff that he’s ready for it.”

Simms deserves every little bit of praise he’s getting as he’s worked extremely hard to be in this position right now.
Even if he’s buzzing at Finch Farm for the rest of the month, it’s worth it as this point could prove to be priceless come the end of the season.
The 22-year-old has gone out on loan to different clubs and has proven himself there and is now doing the same at Everton.
Sean Dyche will be delighted by what he’s seen and the thing about Simms is that he seems to have that fight about him which will only push him further up the pecking order at Everton.
It remains to be seen if the manager puts the English striker in the starting eleven against Tottenham Hotspur as there’s a good chance of that happening.
Antonio Conte will not be in charge of Spurs for that one and it seems like Daniel Levy has a manager in place for that game.
