Doomsday on cards in Premier League for Everton after breaking news

Premier League doomsday is now really on the cards at Everton after alleged breaches of the Profit and Sustainability rules, according to the Telegraph.

The newspaper has reported on its website that with relegation a real possibility, the potential of a points deduction is something that will send fear through the club.

It is shared that below the ownership level, the breaking news was a surprise as there was no anticipation of the charge coming as they had supposedly been transparent.

Sean Dyche looked to have steadied the ship on the pitch, something that those before him in the shape of Rafa Benitez and Frank Lampard failed to do.

All three do have the same thing in common though with financial issues holding them back in the transfer market, leading to struggles elsewhere.

Poor.

This has been coming for a long time since Burnley and Leeds United delivered written complaints over Everton’s losses in the Premier League.

It has been that long that it was actually an issue that many will have forgotten about, although it must be stressed that the club has not been officially charged yet.

Doomsday is relegation to the Championship regardless of how it happens, with or without this charge, but if that was to happen through a deduction, there would be even more outrage.

All of this just falls back on Farhad Moshiri and his management of the club, mainly in his spending, with a transfer ban as another potential punishment.

It should take some time before this progresses though, and it may be that if a points deduction was to happen, it wouldn’t be until next season anyway.

Everything is crossed at Everton that nothing comes of this – they are desperate.
