Stuart Pearce makes Everton relegation prediction live on talkSPORT, shares Sean Dyche verdict
Stuart Pearce believes that Everton will avoid relegation because they made the decision to hire Sean Dyche, he told talkSPORT.
The Toffees sit in 15th place in the Premier League after three wins and two draws in their last eight games since their change of manager.
But while discussing the tightness of the relegation battle in the Premier League table live on talkSPORT (30 March, 11:12), Pearce admitted there was “jeopardy” in every game remaining in the season but feels they have the right man in charge even if they do get relegated.
“Every week there’s a jeopardy game,” he said. “But I think each manager is in a slightly different position.
“If I touch on Dychie [Sean Dyche] first off. Everton have gone, changed their manager and got a manager who I think will keep them in the division.
“And also has got the tools and has proved he can get them out of the division below if the worst happens. He’s in a different position.”

Excellent
When Frank Lampard got sacked there was nobody surprised at Everton, and it was pretty obvious that Dyche was the man that was needed to steady the ship.
That’s why it was so crazy when initial reports suggested that Dyche wasn’t being considered, because on paper and in reality he was the perfect candidate.
Fans may have wanted someone with a bit more style and attacking substance, but we needed the results immediately and someone who would make us more difficult to beat.
Now Dyche has managed to unite the club again despite the troubles off the pitch and things are looking up for this season, although the job is obviously not done yet.
But if the worst happens and we go down, there will be confidence that we will come straight back up with the quality we have in the dugout and on the pitch to get things right again as quickly as possible.
