Everton ace James Garner named in top-10 fastest Premier League midfielders as speed revealed
Everton youngster James Garner has not featured much for the Toffees this season, but it has been revealed that he is one of the quickest midfielders in the Premier League.
The 22-year-old clocked a speed of 35.22km/h earlier in the campaign, ranking him in eighth place among the competition’s quickest midfielders, according to Squawka.
Garner has been limited to just six league matches since joining from Manchester United in the summer, having struggled with a back injury earlier in the season.

When fit, the youngster has largely been forced to watch on from the bench, with trio Amadou Onana, Idrissa Gueye and Abdoulaye Doucoure regularly operating in midfield.
He was getting minutes prior to his injury, but has not been seen in an Everton shirt since the League Cup meeting with Bournemouth in early November.
Proving his fitness to new boss Sean Dyche, Garner has now returned to the bench for the club’s last three Premier League matches.
Bright future
Many Manchester United supporters expressed anger at the decision to let Garner leave permanently, especially to a Premier League rival, such is their excitement at his potential.
He learned the ropes in loan spells at Watford and Nottingham Forest in the Championship, but clearly feels he can battle it out against the top midfielders of the Premier League.
But opportunities have been few and far between for the youngster to impress, as was the case at Old Trafford, where current midfielders Casemiro and Fred are occupying the starting roles.
He is undoubtedly one for the future, but could find himself in a more prominent role next season for one of two reasons.
The Toffees could be light in midfield next season, with star midfielder Onana strongly linked with a summer exit from Goodison Park.
More worryingly, Everton could be playing Championship football, where Garner would undoubtedly be handed more responsibility, more than likely as a regular starter.
