Michael Keane reveals what got him Everton fine this week, shares forfeit to take place before clash v Tottenham Hotspur
Michael Keane has revealed that he picked up a fine at Everton this week and shared what his forfeit would be before the clash with Tottenham.
The Toffees host the north London club at Goodison Park on Monday night (3 April) having gone unbeaten in their last three games in the Premier League to climb out of the relegation zone.
But despite those results coming with Keane in the side, the former Burnley ace has shared that it hasn’t all been rosy for him after he picked up a fine for leaving a drinks bottle lying around in the changing room which got him a go at spinning Sean Dyche’s famous wheel of fortune.

“I had my first one [spin of the wheel] last week,” he shared in an interview with The Sunday Times (2 April).
“I left a drinks bottle hanging around and someone took a picture of it.
“My forfeit is to do 50 kick ups in the meeting room in front of everyone, and for every time I don’t get up to 50, I’ll pay a fine. I’m doing it on Sunday, before our team meeting for Tottenham.”
Unity
When Everton were in massive trouble last season, Frank Lampard did a fantastic job of unifying the squad and getting everyone on the same page.
That eventually got the team to be safe, but the results never improved this season and the troubles off the pitch led to mutiny again between fans and board.

But since Sean Dyche has come in, the results have certainly picked up and that has helped to improve the mood around the camp and brought players in from the cold.
The likes of Keane and Abdoulaye Doucoure have been among the better performers since his arrival at the club and while fines are usually a sign that people are messing up, the reason given shows this isn’t really something to worry about.
Everton are back on the rise under Dyche and Keane has been a big part of that, regardless of what you think of him as a defender.
