Alan Shearer blown away after what he saw in Everton draw v Tottenham Hotspur
Alan Shearer was thrilled with Everton scoring a late equaliser to grab a point from their clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday.
Spurs looked to be winning the game courtesy of a Harry Kane penalty but Lucas Moura’s red card ensured that they were in for a tricky end to the night.
Michael Keane came up with the goods and scored an outrageous goal from long range that beat Hugo Lloris all ends up with the game ending 1-1.
Via Twitter, Shearer wrote, “Brilliant comeback from Everton and deserved at least a point. Spurs weak as.”
Unbelievable
Keane had the most unbelievable of games and it’s perhaps his most noteworthy one at Everton.
In the first half, he blocked Kane’s shot that appeared destined for the back of the net and ensured that the score was deadlocked at half time.
He then conceded a very silly penalty which was put into the back of the net by the England captain and it looked like the defender had cost his team the game.

Then for him to come out and score from that range was incredible and he’s absolutely justified his inclusion in the side.
Sean Dyche has previously worked with him and James Tarkowski and it’s already proving to be an effective centre-back pairing for him at the club.
Hopefully, the Toffees continue picking up points from games few expect them to get anything from in order to get over the line in the Premier League relegation scrap.
