Everton should look to pounce on Niclas Fullkrug transfer after Sky Sports Germany update emerges
Everton should look to reignite their interest in Werder Bremen forward Niclas Fullkrug after news emerged that the striker’s agents are exploring the market ahead of the summer.
The Toffees were linked with a move for the German international who scored twice in the Qatar World Cup group stages for a fee of £17.5million, but nothing ever materialised in the dying stages of the winter window.
And although Sean Dyche’s side missed out on the 30-year-old striker, Sky Sports Germany (3 April) have shared a fresh update on his future at Werder Bremen, where he is contracted until 2025.

The report shared that Fullkrug “wants to leave” the German outfit in the summer with his advisors “exploring the market” for a potential summer move.
Considering Fullkrug is currently the Bundesliga’s top goalscorer with 15 goals from 25 appearances and Everton’s glaring lack of attacking options, a summer move ticks almost every box.
At 30 years old, the forward should possess the experience to adapt to the Premier League without any major difficulties, while he has delivered the goods on the world stage, netting six goals in six games for Germany.
Furthermore, the Liverpool Echo (31 March) have shared that Werder Bremen are in the midst of serious financial issues right now, with the club having to raise £33.3million before 30 June to balance the books.

As long as the Toffees remain in the Premier League at the end of the season, they should be more than capable of mustering the financial resources to lure Fullkrug to Goodison Park.
At 6ft 2in and possessing a strong all-round game, the striker fits the bill for Dyche’s demands perfectly and would be a brilliant alternative to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who seemingly is never going to regain his flying form of 18 months ago.
There will likely be several high-profile clubs vying for Fullkrug’s services in the summer transfer window, so Everton need to do their due diligence quickly and look to jump the queue to this potential game-changing transfer.
