Everton wait in wings to sign Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos with transfer talks ongoing

Everton are reportedly waiting in the wings to sign Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos who appears set to seal an exit from Ibrox this summer.

According to TEAMtalk [4 April], a host of teams are keen on signing the Colombia striker including Wolves, Crystal Palace, Sevilla and Villarreal.

It’s understood that the 26-year-old is already in talks over a potential free transfer with the two Spanish clubs as he is free to discuss terms with foreign clubs.

Sign him

Whether or not Morelos was flirting with Everton during the international break is perhaps something only he can answer, but the timing could not be better.

He’s unlikely to stay at Ibrox and is doing everything he can to find the best club for him and instead of focusing on his training and getting in better shape for the remaining games this season, he was seen wearing an Everton jersey.

He surely will be aware of their interest in signing a striker next season and given their financial difficulties, it will be difficult to pay a lot of money to bring in one.

In Morelos, they will get a hard-working striker who’s a proven goal scorer and will undoubtedly bolster their attacker.

He’s very good off the ball too and if Sean Dyche wants to play a two-striker system, he can be an ideal partner to Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

It remains to be seen if they do sign the 26-year-old as he’s been on their radar for a while now.
