Everton predicted XI v Manchester United: Ben Godfrey to be axed in three changes

Sean Dyche could make up to three changes to the Everton side that held Tottenham Hotspur against Manchester United on Saturday, 8 April.

The Toffees sealed an unlikely equaliser through Michael Keane to secure a point against Spurs and while the temptation may be to keep the side intact, he will be forced into one change.

Abdoulaye Doucoure’s red card will see him miss this game and it’s likely that James Garner comes in for him against his former club.

Ben Godfrey, a £20million signing [Sky Sports], has been starting at left-back recently but Mykolenko will offer more of a threat going forward and that could play into the hands of the Toffees.

United are weak on their right side defensively and whether it’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka or Diogo Dalot, there will be plenty of opportunities for Dwight McNeil and Mykolenko to create havoc.

It also makes sense for Ellis Simms to start over Demarai Gray as he can offer more of a goal threat than the former Leicester City attacker.

It’s also his natural position and he will be more comfortable running the channels and linking up with the players around him.

The rest of the team should pretty much pick itself as there’s no disputing the two centre-backs, Everton captain Seamus Coleman or Jordan Pickford.

McNeil and Alex Iwobi also been untouchables in this side and we expect them to continue and start at Old Trafford over the weekend.
