Everton confirmed XI v Manchester United: Ellis Simms starts
Sean Dyche has put Ellis Simms in his starting eleven for the Everton v Manchester United Premier League clash on Saturday, 8 April.
The Toffees visit Old Trafford hoping to improve their form on the road as they have struggled this seasons away from the comforts of Goodison Park.
With Abdoulaye Doucoure injured, Simms will come in for him and Demarai Gray may either move out wide or play as a second striker.
Summer signing James Garner will not be starting against his former club but can feature later in the game as he’s been named on the bench.
Get the job done
Dyche knows all about going to Old Trafford and getting an unlikely win as he’s done that with Burnley and can make things extremely hard for the hosts.
The lineup he’s picked is clearly capable of running United to the ground and making matters extremely difficult for them.
The prospect of Garner taking on his former club will also make things more interesting and it’s expected he’ll get a decent reception at his former home ground if and when he comes off the bench.

He’s proven himself at Nottingham Forest and will surely want to make Erik ten Hag regret the fact that he didn’t see him as part of the future of the club.
If Dyche is given a draw ahead of kick-off, he’s certainly going to take it as it’s pretty evident that he’s backing on their performances at home to get them over the line.
United missing the likes of Raphael Varane, Casemiro and a recognised number nine will give Everton the chance to try to get something from this one.
