Everton player Dele Alli baffled by media speculation from Turkey as he’s set for UK return
Everton player Dele Alli has reportedly been “baffled” by media reports that claimed he went AWOL from training during his loan stint.
According to Sky Sports [7 April], the Turkish club wanted to cancel his loan in January itself but the lack of a break clause proved to be a stumbling block.
He is due for a return to the United Kingdom over the weekend for a review of the injury he picked up for the Turkish side.

Needs to be off the books?
Signing Alli made little to no sense in the first place and it was surprising to see it happen last January.
As many expected, he failed to make an impact even under Frank Lampard who played a similar role as the 26-year-old.
Hopefully, Everton can find someone keen on signing him in the summer and it’s unlikely to be a side in the Premier League.

The best case scenario for him will be to go to the Championship and work on his attitude and help take a side to promotion.
It could be that due to the lack of tangible achievements in his career, he’s downed tools and does need to win trophies.
Alli’s signing may even have caused some problems with FFP and it remains to be seen how that matter unfolds in the coming weeks and months.
