Super Computer makes Everton Premier League relegation prediction after Manchester United loss

Everton are predicted to narrowly avoid relegation despite losing 2-0 in the Premier League to Manchester United on Saturday, 8 April.

Nottingham Forest and Leicester City also lost their games on Saturday to Aston Villa and Bournemouth respectively and that appears to have done Toffees a big favour.

According to FiveThirtyEight’s Super Computer, Sean Dyche’s side will end up with 35 points and in 17th place ahead of Leicester, Nottingham Forest and Southampton.

Too close to call?

Everton know that they’ve got to win at least three more games from here if they want to stay up and even that may not be enough.

The target will obviously be to get to 40 points, but given the table, it seems that 38 might be good enough, although the Super Computer is saying 35.

Sean Dyche has done a good job so far but the results or performances at home are not improving and that needs to change soon.

He’s had a tough run with games against Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea so it’s understandable and the fixture list is kinder to them in the coming weeks.

Their next two games are against Fulham at home and Crystal Palace away – both of which are winnable and they should be aiming to get at least four points from them.

There appears to be some good news on the injury front so Dyche will be hoping that Dominic Calvert-Lewin is back for those matches.
