Perfect scenario for Everton to sign Daichi Kamada as Frankfurt publish free transfer announcement

Everton have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt star Daichi Kamada, with the German club confirming he will depart at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old’s contract is expiring this summer, with the Japan international seeking a new challenge by opting not to extend his deal at Frankfurt.

Kamada was linked with a move to Goodison Park in January [Liverpool Echo], with the Toffees now keeping the attacker “on their radar” for the summer, according to GiveMeSport.

Everton will now be licking their lips at the latest transfer update regarding one of their targets, with the club in desperate need of new attacking talent.

“Daichi Kamada leaves Eintracht Frankfurt,” the club confirmed on Twitter. “The 26-year-old will not extend his expiring contract after six years with Eintracht and will leave the club after the season.

“Let’s successfully complete the beautiful years together in the rest of the time.”

Everton’s priority in January was seemingly to appoint Sean Dyche as their new manager, with the absence of player incomings made worse by the fact that young star Anthony Gordon left for Newcastle.

It meant no deal was completed for exciting Frankfurt attacker Kamada by Everton or indeed any other club as he remained at the Bundesliga side.

But after six years there, the Japan playmaker is now set to become one of the most-talked-about players this summer as he leaves Frankfurt for the next step in his career.

Frankfurt will be gutted to see one of their key players leave, with Kamada currently on 13 goals and five assists in all competitions this season.

Tottenham, Marseille and Sporting have all witnessed his talents up close, with the 26-year-old scoring against all three in this season’s Champions League group stages.

His feats were on show for all of Europe to see last season as his creativity in the final third helped Frankfurt defeat Rangers in the 2021/22 Europa League final.

In the current Bundesliga season, Kamada has scored seven goals and registered four assists, with the versatile player achieving a pass success rate of 84.29%, according to the official Bundesliga website.

Everton will definitely like their chances of bringing him to Goodison Park in the summer, but absolutely only on the condition that they remain in the Premier League, with Championship football not an option for Kamada.

The Toffees are among the lowest scorers in the current Premier League campaign, with Kamada boasting the ability to provide that much-needed creative spark that Dyche’s side needs to improve going forward.
