Everton news: Sean Dyche speaks out on Dele Alli future at Goodison Park after injury at Besiktas
Sean Dyche has spoken out on the future of Everton outcast Dele Alli and provided an injury update on the midfielder at his press conference at Finch Farm on Thursday (13 April).
The 27-year-old has hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons in the last week after his loan spell at Besiktas was cut short, and he was pictured on social media surrounded by laughing gas canisters.
The Daily Mail has reported that Alli’s hip injury he sustained while out on loan with the Turkish side is set to rule him out for the remainder of the season.

Speaking live from Finch Farm and as shared via Football Daily, Dyche shared an update on Alli, his injury, and what the future holds at Goodison Park.
“He’s 26, and he knows, like most of us, there are certain things that he should or shouldn’t be doing,” he said.
“But at the end of the day, as a manager, forgetting about Everton football club, you can’t control everything they do in their lives.
“There seems to be this myth when they say ‘what’s the manager doing’, about what, following him around every minute of every day that they live their lives.
“You can only guide players with what you think is good for them.”
Speaking about Alli’s injury, he said: “Behind that, he’s factually injured, he’s come back with a proper injury that’s going to take some time to sort out.
“So he will use that period wisely, I hope.
“I feel like he has to get his injury right, and then we’ll take it from there because it isn’t going to be a week, it will be a number of weeks.”
Sad to see
The controversy that has followed Alli around over the last few years has been really disappointing to see after bursting onto the scene with so much promise at Spurs.
The midfielder was touted to be the next English footballing superstar, but it just shows how much life away from the football field can impact your performance on it.
After his failed loan spell at Besiktas and picking up what could be a season-ending injury, seeing Alli in Everton colours any time soon seems unlikely.
People thought Jose Mourinho was the man who would get Alli back to his best, then it was Frank Lampard, and now the impossible-looking task has fallen at Dyche’s door.
Maybe some harsh truths are what Alli needs to get his career back on track – otherwise, it would come as no surprise to see the former England international retiring from the game over the next couple of years.
