Everton told to trigger £35m release clause to sign PSV midfield star Ibrahim Sangare
Everton will need to pay £35million to trigger Ibrahim Sangare’s release clause, according to Calciomercato.
The midfielder has shone for Eredivisie outfit PSV in recent years having joined from French side Toulouse in September 2020.
The 25-year-old has made 38 appearances in all competitions this season, with his club currently sitting third in the table behind Feyenoord and Ajax.

“Everton are one of the most active English teams on the transfer market,” according to Calciomercato. “One of the areas that most needs reinforcements is the midfield.
“In this regard, the Toffees have their eye on Ibrahim Sangare. The PSV Eindhoven midfielder has collected four goals and one assist this season.
“His contract expires in 2027, but anyone who wants to secure the Ivorian must meet the £35m release clause.”

Major rebuild incoming
Everton not only need to strengthen in midfield, but in various other areas across the pitch, with the Toffees definitely needing to bolster their squad if they are to have any hope of competing with the best sides in the Premier League.
That is, of course, if they stay in the top flight, with relegation to the Championship certainly a possibility amid the hugely competitive battle at the bottom end of the table.
But in that midfield, star player Amadou Onana has been linked with a summer exit, with both Arsenal and Chelsea lining up summer bids for the Belgian, according to Het Nieuwsblad.
That would leave a huge gap in Everton’s midfield, with Sangare looking like the perfect Onana replacement if one were needed.
But as is the case with many of Everton’s transfer targets, there will definitely be interest from other clubs around Europe, both in and out of the Premier League.
