Everton predicted XI v Fulham: Ben Godfrey and Ellis Simms to be dropped by Sean Dyche

Sean Dyche will be looking for a response from his Everton side after they lost 2-0 to Manchester United at Old Trafford when they face Fulham.

The Cottagers have enjoyed a good season and are unlikely to qualify for Europe so virtually have very little to play for in this game.

The home form has been pretty impressive since Dyche has taken over and he will be ready to make his players fight for the three points on Saturday, 15 April.

His job will be slightly more difficult as Seamus Coleman has now been ruled out of the game and along with the suspended Abdoulaye Doucoure will play no part.

This will see Nathan Patterson get a start despite the fact that he’s lacking match sharpness after being out with an injury himself.

Speaking in the pre-match press conference, Dyche said on Coleman, “He’s got a niggly hamstring that will need a bit of time to settle down. He shouldn’t be too long, but he won’t make it for the weekend.”

Dyche also said that Calvert-Lewin is going along well but he’s not likely to start anyway so if he passes a late fitness test, the best that can be expected is him coming off the bench.

A change that’s needed will be Ben Godrey, the £20million signing in 2020 [The Athletic], to be axed for Vitalli Mykolenko after his disastrous first half performance against Manchester United which saw Stuart Pearce call him “Awful” live on air.

Godfrey just doesn’t look comfortable there and Ellis Simms too, struggled and James Garner could make way for him with Demarai Gray leading the line.

Everton have a decent chance to win this game if Dyche makes the three changes with Myoklenko and Patterson offering much more of an attacking threat as well.
