Leon Osman slams Everton defender James Tarkowski v Fulham in Premier League clash

Leon Osman slammed Everton defender James Tarkowski for nearly conceding a goal in the first half against Fulham.

Before Harrison Reed did open the scoring, the Toffees could’ve conceded a goal as Tarkowski failed to deal with the cross of Antonee Robinson.

This saw the ball fall on a plate for the Fulham attackers, but they failed to capitalise on the English defender’s mistake.

Commentating on the Premier League world feed, Osman said, “He put a cross into a semi dangerous area. Tarkowski has to deal with it. Not good enough.”

Grew into the game

Sean Dyche made a mid-half tactical switch and that saw the Toffees get much better and most players improved as the half grew on.

Tarkowski started the game poorly and made a couple of errors, but after that he looked like a rock at the back and also had a chance to score an equaliser.

Dwight McNeil did eventually find a goal for Dyche’s side and that was the all-important one midway through the half.

In the second half, the Everton side needs to come out in the same way that they ended the first half as they really looked hungry without the ball.

Before scoring an equaliser, the hosts were passive and there’s a worry that if they concede again, it may have a psychological effect on them.

With no Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Neal Maupay being dreadful in front of goal, it’s on Demarai Gray or Alex Iwobi to get into goal-scoring positions more often for Everton.
