Everton attacker Dele Alli jerseys moved to back of Besiktas club shop

The jerseys of Everton attacker Dele Alli have reportedly been moved to the back of the club shop at Besiktas despite initial excitement about his transfer.

According to the Daily Mail [14 April], the demand for his jerseys was never really that high even though he was a big-name signing.

Recently, Alli’s been making the headlines for all the wrong reasons as he’s been criticised publically by Besiktas and was also seen with laughing gas surrounding him and a balloon in his mouth.

Not surprising

Alli may have arrived at Besiktas with a big brand and also the fact that he was one of the Premier League’s next big things a few years ago.

Despite his recent struggles in England, his name still carried weight as he looked to seal a move away from these shores.

However, once things didn’t go well at Besiktas, it’s not surprising that there weren’t too many people keen on buying his jersey.

Everton

They’ll want jerseys of icons who’ve done good things at their club and not someone who used to be good for a year or two and who’s declined massively since then.

Even before joining Everton, he had become somewhat of a laughing stock and multiple managers had lost patience with him.

It seems highly unlikely that he’ll be seen in an Everton jersey again and it will be a huge surprise if he suddenly goes on to have a successful career at Goodison Park.
