Injury expert shares Crystal Palace update ahead of Everton Premier League fixture

Crystal Palace are set to be without four first-team players for their Premier League clash against Everton at Selhurst Park on Saturday [22 April], according to injury expert, Ben Dinnery.

The South Londoners have undergone a stunning upturn in form since Roy Hodgson’s return to the dugout, picking up three wins on the trot to boost their own Premier League survival hopes.

And the Eagles manager will still be without star man Wilfried Zaha with the Ivory Coast international suffering from a groin, hip and pelvic injury and won’t be back in action potentially until the end of the month.

First-team goalkeeper Vicente Guaita is also out until the end of the month with a calf injury along with the likes of Nathan Ferguson who is expected to return soon and Nathaniel Clyne who is currently being assessed after picking up a knee injury (Premier injuries)

Must-win

Everton were dreadful in their 3-1 defeat to Fulham with the Goodison Park faithful looking dejected and defeated after such a damaging result in their quest for Premier League survival.

Such a performance as Saturday has become the norm, especially when the players are expected to perform and show up. The Blues were worryingly outthought and outclassed, something that has largely become uncharacteristic since Dyche’s arrival.

Everton

They’ve got to pull their socks up and go again against a rejuvenated Palace side who have been completely transformed and brought back to life by Hodgson’s return to management.

Zaha’s injury is a huge blow for the Eagles but they’ve coped well without him in recent weeks and Everton will have to be mindful of their in-form midfield weapons in Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise who are spearheading Palace’s revival.

This is a must-win game for the Toffees and anything other than a win on Saturday [22 April] will likely see their chances of survival being plunged into further ignominy. Crucial.
