Alan Myers shares fresh Everton investment update with behind-the-scenes changes afoot

Everton are reportedly close to securing new investment with Premier League status being in the conversation amid their recent relegation battle.

According to Sky Sports news editor Alan Myers, the process is in its final stages and should be done soon barring any last-minute glitches.

This comes after he wrote a detailed article stating that behind-the-scenes changes are afoot at Goodison Park with Farhad Moshiri well aware of the fan sentiment.

Myers wrote on Twitter, “That will be in the conversation I’m sure but I’m told it’s almost done.”

Too late in the day?

Getting new investment in is always a boost but Everton may have left it too late as they’re in pretty bad shape going into the final few weeks.

Their performances at home are also not as good as they were in the first few games under Sean Dyche and that’s a real worry.

The manager cannot say much as he did not get any new signings in January and was appointed just a few days before the window even shut.

Going down may be catastrophic for the Toffees as they’re likely to lose some of their best players and the ones remaining will be on Premier League wages.

Parachute payments will certainly come in handy but it’s going to be difficult to mitigate these costs and come right back up next season.

They’ve already got a certain Argentina forward on their radar and fresh investment is certainly going to help make that transfer happen.
