Everton ace Dele Alli could retire from professional football due to injury problems at end of season
Everton midfielder Dele Alli could opt to retire at the end of the season due to “physical problems” after his recent surgery, according to Fichajes.net.
The Toffees ace spent the season on loan at Besiktas after starting just once for Everton following his move from Tottenham in January 2022, but returned early due to a hip injury this month.
But despite falling out with management at the Turkish club, reports suggest they could be keen to take him back to Istanbul if he opts to leave Everton on a free transfer this summer.

However, this new report from Fichajes.net (18 April) claims the player will make a decision on his future at the end of the season and that retirement is an option on the table for him.
Depending on his recovery from the most recent surgery, Dele could be willing to return to Besiktas but could also hang up his boots depending on what opportunities arise and how his recovery goes.
Crazy
It would be absolutely madness to see Dele go from one of the most feared prospects in world football to retired by the age of 27.
There’s no doubting the former England international has had a really tough last few years and he needs something new to spark his career back into life.

Everton was supposed to be able to do that for him by taking him away from Tottenham but it didn’t work out that way, and the same can be said of Istanbul.
But his talent is unquestionable, so to see him forced into an early retirement due to injury could not only answer a lot of questions about why he has struggled so much but would also be incredibly sad to see.
It seems inevitable that he will not be at Goodison Park next season, but whether he stays at home for good and opts to return to Turkey now seems like a question to follow for the summer.
