Dominic Calvert-Lewin drops three-word social media hint to Everton fans ahead of Crystal Palace clash

Everton ace Dominic Calvert-Lewin has dropped a major hint on social media that he is ready for the club’s upcoming Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday (22 April).

The striker has recently stepped up his recovery this week after playing in a friendly behind closed doors on Tuesday (18 April).

Calvert-Lewin has not made an appearance for the Toffees since coming off with a hamstring issue against Arsenal in February, in what was Sean Dyche’s first match in charge.

“Bring on Saturday!” Calvert-Lewin posted on Instagram.

The post has not only brought about much excitement among fans, with Everton midfielder Amadou Onana commenting: “Yessir.”

Much-needed return

Everton have been very poor this season, with many of their struggles coming in the final third of the pitch.

And those issues can largely be pinned on the absence of Calvert-Lewin, who is unfortunately enduring another frustrating, injury-hit campaign.

He has been limited to just 11 league matches, and hasn’t had any opportunity to show Dyche why he is the right man to lead the line for the Toffees.

But that could all change this weekend, with Calvert-Lewin looking very likely to feature against the Eagles.

Whether or not that is from the start or from the bench remains to be seen, but his return will provide a massive boost to all associated with the club.

The Toffees are not only in desperate need of such motivation, but more importantly of goals, with failures to find the back of the net in the entire campaign now coming to haunt Dyche.

Despite only registering one goal all season, even the presence of the talented Calvert-Lewin should be enough to give the Toffees a greater attacking impetus.
