Farhad Moshiri handed rare boost as Everton news emerges that would ‘appeal to investors’
A greater Premier League broadcast package would be a major boost to Everton as it would “appeal to investors,” according to the Liverpool Echo.
The Toffees are currently “locked in talks” in this regard, with those talks potentially being impacted by a new broadcast deal for the league.
The potential boost comes after the news from The Telegraph (18 April) that the Premier League is likely to make an extra 60 matches available for television.

“For Everton, a club embroiled in a relegation battle and in need of being at the table for the Premier League’s significant revenues, an even greater broadcast package would help with their financial situation as well as appeal to investors, something that the club are currently locked in talks over,” according to the Liverpool Echo.

Financial boost
Given Everton’s off-field woes, any incomings would represent a massive financial boost to the Merseyside outfit.
Those boardroom struggles have definitely had an impact on matters on the pitch, where the Toffees currently find themselves in a fierce relegation battle for the second successive season.
Nobody at the club wanted to be involved in such a tense affair once again following last season’s scare, but perhaps many predicted it given just how poorly things are being run at Goodison Park.
It is seemingly bad news after bad news at the minute for the Toffees, so many supporters and indeed those behind the scenes will be buoyed by this potential financial boost.
There is, of course, the darkest cloud hanging over Goodison Park which is the real threat of Premier League relegation, which would unsurprisingly impact the club’s ability to profit from any new broadcast package.
Sean Dyche won’t be paying too much attention to the financial side of things right now, with Premier League safety the only thing on the manager’s mind.
