Everton in battle for ‘Hot property’ Duk, 18-goal striker signed for free by Aberdeen
Aberdeen signed Duk for free last summer, with the striker’s 18 goals this season making him “hot property” with clubs like Everton interested in signing him, according to the Daily Record.
Then-Dons manager Goodwin signed the Cape Verde international from Portuguese giants Benfica in July 2022.
The 23-year-old has gone on to bang in 18 goals in his debut season in England, with Duk netting 16 in the league and two in the League Cup.

“Jim Goodwin has revealed Aberdeen signed Duk for free but he’s certain his old club will rake in millions when they decide to sell him,” according to the Daily Record.
“The former Dons boss signed the in-demand striker from Benfica in the summer and he has proved to be the bargain of the season with clubs across the continent and England tracking him.
“The Aberdeen frontman’s 18 goals has made him hot property with Everton, Spezia and Bologna, as well as several English Championship sides linked with him.”

Summer battle incoming
Every now and then a “hot property” in Scottish football receives huge attention from English clubs, and this summer the battle is set to revolve around Duk.
But perhaps nobody expected the young striker to hit the ground running like he did, with not many able to enjoy such a superb campaign in what is a tricky league to settle into.
His goals had been spread out throughout the season, but Duk is now attracting a lot of outside interest after scoring six goals in his last five league matches.
His efforts have rocketed Aberdeen past Hearts and into third place in the Scottish Premiership table, a scenario fans could have only dreamed of given their earlier struggles this season.
Aberdeen will undoubtedly want to keep hold of their star man for another campaign, but they will probably find it near-impossible to fend off any interest from bigger clubs, such as Everton.
The Toffees are in no way financially stable, but they could be ready to break the bank this summer in order to solve their attacking woes, with Duk a fantastic option.
