Injury expert shares fresh Amadou Onana update ahead of Premier League clash v Crystal Palace
Amadou Onana has a “50 per cent” chance of playing for Everton in the Toffees’ Premier League clash against Crystal Palace, according to injury expert, Ben Dinnery.
Sean Dyche’s side head to South London looking to avoid a third straight defeat after their disappointing home loss to Fulham.
The 21-year-old missed Everton’s defeat to Marco Silva’s men with a groin injury but was training on Thursday with the rest of the squad.

However, despite the midfielder back out on grass, Dinnery has rated his chances of playing against the Eagles at 50/50 (Premier injuries).
Massive
We saw against Fulham how important Onana is to this team. The two-man midfield against the West Londoners backfired spectacularly.
The Toffees were overrun in the middle of the pitch. It’s essential that a three-man midfield is deployed against Crystal Palace. Roy Hodgson’s men thrive when given space, with the likes of Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze able to cause problems.

Going back to basics and looking to be defensively stable will be the former Burnley boss’ main priority at Selhurst Park. Goals have also been an issue, and, realistically, Everton do need to win this game. They’ve got some tricky fixtures on the horizon and need to take advantage against the sides that don’t have too much to play for at present.
This weekend promises to be another intriguing point in what has been an extremely congested battle to avoid relegation to the Championship. With Newcastle on the horizon, the Toffees can ill-afford dropped points during their visit to the capital on Saturday.
