Allan Saint-Maximin ruled out of Newcastle United clash v Everton, update shared on Fabian Schar and Bruno Guimaraes

Newcastle will be without Allan Saint-Maximin for their Premier League clash with Everton on Thursday, while injury updates have been shared on two more.

The Magpies are coming off a huge 6-1 win over Tottenham on Sunday, while Everton are winless in five and currently sit in the relegation zone with six games to play.

But Sean Dyche’s side will be boosted by the fact Eddie Howe will be without star winger Saint-Maximin for the game, while first-choice central defender Fabian Schar is also a doubt with a hamstring problem according to Sky Sports.

However Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes has overcome an ankle problem and will be fit to play.

Boost

Everton are in a position where we need as many points as possible and no fans will care how they come at this point.

Whether it’s ugly football, a controversial penalty decision of ten own goals, all that matters is getting three points to move away from the relegation zone.

Everton

Newcastle are absolutely flying right now, so not having key players available to them is a big boost to Everton’s hopes of getting the positive result we need.

But Howe has got plenty of experience and options in his squad, so Dyche and the Everton team will need to be as strong as possible and perform to their best to get a result because Newcastle are still fighting for top four.

This is a benefit though as they will be weaker without their star winger and first-choice defender, so we have to take advantage and use the home crowd to our advantage.
