Everton transfer news as Sean Dyche exodus may have begun already
A flurry of change at Everton has been in the billing for years now, and it seems Sean Dyche’s plans for a summer exodus have now been set into motion.
Salernitana News have reported (26 April) that two first-team players, Ellis Simms and Andros Townsend, are already set to leave the club at the end of the season.
According to the report, such exits are set to leave the Toffees as one of four Premier League clubs hunting down the services of Salernitana loanee Boulaye Dia.

After a wretched season full of injuries, it comes as no surprise to hear that Townsend could be leaving Merseyside for good this summer, with the 31-year-old yet to make a single appearance this term.
If Everton are going to re-write the rule book under Dyche and try and progress with a new vision, such players as Townsend may need to be released to free up summer transfer funds.
Simms is a more interesting case, with the Everton youngster thriving while out on loan with Sunderland – netting seven goals in 17 outings – but amassing a mere total of 209 minutes since being recalled to Goodison Park in January.
If Dyche doesn’t deem the Englishman part of his plans and thinks he is inferior to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, now could be the time to cash in on this valuable asset and spend the money elsewhere.

The major problem with such upheaval in the forward areas is the lack of alternative options that the Toffees boss has at his disposal.
Neal Maupay has been linked with a summer transfer to Fenerbahce [Aspor, 28 March], Calvert-Lewin remains a serious injury risk going forward, and academy prospect Tom Cannon is still only 20 years old.
It was always likely that Dyche was going to wield the axe on large portions of his Everton squad, and this news suggests that he is trying to get plans set in motion instead of playing catch up.
