Jamie O’Hara shares massive Everton verdict after Leeds United draw in Premier League

Jamie O’Hara has insisted that the Leeds United draw against Leicester on Tuesday 25 April was “massive” for Everton in the Premier League.

The Toffees are currently one point from safety in the Premier League relegation race and could go above both those sides with a win against Newcastle.

O’Hara admitted the race for survival is “crazy” right now, with Jason Cundy suggesting that Everton were the biggest winners of the game last night.

Speaking live on talkSPORT on 25 April, as shared on their YouTube, O’Hara looked back at the game at Elland Road and had to mention Everton as a result.

“It’s crazy at the bottom of the table,” he said.

“That’s a massive result for Everton and for Leeds and Leicester to draw that game, Everton on 28 points, 332 games, Leicester on 29 points and Leeds on 30 points.

“Everton have got a real chance and will be looking at that.”

Everton

In our hands.

That’s the message that Sean Dyche will be sending to his squad ahead of the massive game with Newcastle tomorrow night at Goodison Park.

Of course, everyone connected with the club will be concentrating on themselves at this moment, but when it gets down to the business end of the season, it is hard not to take notice of games elsewhere.

Leeds looked very average and let Leicester do what they want for the majority of the game, something that can be taken into account next week when we meet.

Everton know that the result in Yorkshire will mean nothing if they don’t step up and pick up a positive result themselves though, so that can only go so far.

As long as the fight for survival stays tight, there will always be confidence that a win is only around the corner for the Toffees, especially at Goodison Park.

Bring it on.
