Everton will do everything to terminate Dele Alli contract this summer, no club want to sign him

Everton may be forced to keep Dele Alli this summer as nobody wants to sign him, despite their wish to terminate his contract a year early.

Dele spent the season on loan at Besiktas but failed to make an impact, returning to Merseyside early due to a hip injury with the Turkish club not interested in re-signing him permanently.

However while the Toffees are keen to do “everything possible” to terminate his contract, he may opt to stay with no options to sign elsewhere according to Fichajes.net (26 April).

“Everton do not want Dele Alli back and will do everything possible to terminate his contract as soon as the season officially ends, so the Englishman will become a free agent again,” they wrote.

“The English footballer has not finished recovering the best version of him on the pitch and the most worrying thing is that he is only 27 years old, he still has a career ahead of him, but now there is no club that is willing to give him more opportunities.”

Pickle

Dele’s career at Goodison Park never really got started after his free transfer from Tottenham, and it surely won’t continue beyond the summer.

Sean Dyche has made it clear what he wants from his players at the club and with what the 27-year-old has produced over the last few seasons, it seems quite clear that he would be unable to deliver that.

Everton

If Everton are to remain in the Premier League then we would need players capable of performing to a high level, and that isn’t Dele.

Should we be relegated a sale would still be necessary because he is on fairly big wages, and the club’s financial situation would surely mean we’re incapable of keeping him on the books.

But with nobody willing to take him, even on a free transfer, at this point then it will be very difficult to convince him to leave early rather than stay under contract and fight for his place.
