New footage drops as Everton players arrive to flares and fans v Newcastle United at Goodison Park
BBC reporter Shamoon Hafez dropped new footage showing Everton fans well-pumped for Thursday’s [27 April] crucial Premier League clash against Newcastle United at Goodison Park.
The Toffees have the chance to move out of the drop zone should they beat the rampant and inform Magpies on Thursday evening in what remains a decisive clash in their quest for Premier League survival.
And ahead of the match, Hafez dropped some exciting new footage [27 April] showing Everton fans in their numbers ramping up the game with flares outside the ground to welcome the players.
He tweeted: “Wow, what a welcoming for the team bus at Goodison.
“Everton fans are pumped for tonight’s game v Newcastle United.”
Must-win
With the Toffees desperately needing three points on the board and without a Premier League win in their last six games, a match against Eddie Howe’s in-form Champions League-chasing Newcastle United cannot come at a worse time.
But if Everton are to beat the drop, these are the games they will have to show up on their own turf in front of their own fans.

A win could well provide Sean Dyche and his men a crucial morale-booster for the remaining fixtures as they still have a major game against Leicester City, along with Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion to come in their remaining six games.
The omens are certainly stacked against them given Newcastle’s form, but Dyche will be demanding his side to worry about their own form and performance levels if they are to claim an unlikely and pivotal win.
With Forest grabbing a stunning result against Brighton on Wednesday [27 April], the pressure has certainly heightened for Everton to follow suit. We are in last-chance territory now in what’s been an enthralling relegation battle.
