Alex Scott wants to seal summer transfer with Everton and Liverpool keen
Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott is reportedly keen on seeking an exit this summer and Everton and Liverpool are in the race to sign him.
According to 90 Min [28 April], barring the two Merseyside rivals, Leeds United, Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and Bristol City are also keen.
He’s also drawn admirers from other European leagues who’ve sent scouts to track him ahead of a potential move.

Step away
Scott’s being billed as the next big thing and it’s best if the Toffees step away as they’re not going to be able to compete.
A player that’s wanted all across the continent, especially at clubs playing in the Champions League, he’s perhaps going to fancy moving there.
Everton’s future is uncertain as it is and they may very well face sanctions and also be in the Championship next year.

Given the FFP and ownership situation, funds may also be tight in the summer which means that even if Scott wants to join, he’s probably going to expect wages that exceed what Everton can offer.
In early March, it was revealed that his valuation had doubled and that’s definitely putting him out of Toffees’ price range.
They’ve got to deal with plenty of issues before they can even think of spending big on a teenager as they first need to prioritise bringing in a new striker.
