Everton officials used secret Finch Farm exit to try to escape angry fans
Everton officials have had to use a “secret” road to exit the facility at Finch Farm in order to escape angry fans in the past, according to Daily Mail.
It’s been yet another season of turmoil at Goodison Park as Everton are embroiled in yet another gut-wrenching relegation battle, currently sitting in the drop zone two points from safety after Thursday’s disappointing 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United on home turf.
The Toffees fans could be forgiven for continuously venting their frustration at the board and club officials for their continued incompetence and that has been brought to light once again after Daily Mail’s latest inside report [29 April, page 114].

“Such was the anger on transfer deadline night, a group of fans waited outside Finch Farm to vent their fury.
“The levels of emotion were so high that officials needed to use a secret road to exit out the back of the facility in their cars but it still led to some of them being pursued”, the report on Saturday [29 April] reveals.
Cost of business
No member of the Toffees board should have to fear for their life and personal safety, and it’s a pretty dire and dreadful fact that things have turned out this way in recent months at Goodison Park.
It is pretty sad that the Everton supporters no longer want the board around following their years and months of mismanagement and lack of transparency regarding the business around the whole football club.

Having one season embroiled in a disastrous relegation battle is one thing, but being involved in it again considering the standing Everton have in the English game is another thing entirely.
It’s pretty clear, the Toffees board have not learned their lesson, and are still intent on running this prestigious football club into the ground. Fans have every right to vent their fury and frustration, that’s the cost of being the head of a football or business if you aren’t doing your job properly.
Everton escaped being dumped from the Premier League last season. But this year seems a real possibility. Crazy how time cruelly flies.
