Sean Dyche contract news drops at Everton as £3.5m bonus possible in Premier League
Sean Dyche could be given a £3.5million bonus if he keeps Everton in the Premier League this season but uncertainty surrounds a potential wage cut if demoted to the Championship, according to The Telegraph.
The Toffees are currently winless in six games and sit 19th in the Premier League with just five matches of their season remaining.
Dyche’s side have a crucial relegation showdown against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Monday (1 May) but will be low on confidence following the 4-1 thrashing to Newcastle in midweek (27 April).

On the potential ramifications of relegation for Dyche, The Telegraph wrote: “It is unclear whether Everton manager Dyche, who would reportedly be in line for a bonus of upwards of £3.5 million if the club avoid the drop, would face a cut to his wages in the event of relegation from the Premier League.”

Fair figure
If Dyche manages to keep Everton in the Premier League, which is looking less and less likely with every passing week, he will 100% be deserving of his £3.5million bonus.
When he walked into Goodison Park following the sacking of Frank Lampard, he inherited a squad that was lacking quality and devoid of confidence as well as having to deal with the issues with the club’s ownership in the background.
Some managers would have crumbled under so much pressure, but to Dyche’s credit, he has kept plugging away and was adamant about not losing hope after the drubbing against Newcastle on Thursday.
The fight to beat the drop is certainly going to go down to the wire, but Everton couldn’t be in better hands right now.
The Englishman has experienced numerous relegation battles before with Burnley, and the favourable fixtures against Leicester City, Wolves and Bournemouth give the club a glimmer of hope.
