Everton may risk Seamus Coleman after multiple hamstring strains due to Premier League relegation scrap – Injury Expert
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Everton...
Everton defender Seamus Coleman has been out with multiple hamstring strains but he could be risked back given the circumstances, claims Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert believes that while a cautious approach is typically the way to bring players back after a spell on the sidelines, the club are in a relegation battle.
This means that they may tend to risk a little bit and even if he’s not perhaps 100 per cent, they could give him an opportunity to play if the medical staff clears him.

Speaking exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said, “Coleman with multiple hamstring strains, so a cautious approach is typically the route as you don’t want to overload the muscle.
“It is also a high-demand, high-reinjury area which reinforces a methodical approach.
“That being said, Everton are in a relegation battle so risk/reward might tilt toward risk if needed.”

Sean Dyche revealed before the Newcastle game in mid-week that a late call will be taken on whether or not Coleman will be available for the game.
He did not make the bench and is fighting a battle to be fit for the six-pointer against Leicester City on Monday, 1 May.
Should the Toffees pick up three points from that one, they will be out of the relegation zone and could be as high as 16th place.
