Stan Collymore predicts Everton showdown v Leicester City in Premier League
Stan Collymore has provided his prediction for Monday’s crucial Premier League relegation six-pointer [1 May] between Everton and Leicester City at the King Power.
The Toffees’ quest to secure their Premier League status for next season took another sorry turn as Sean Dyche’s men fell to yet another damaging 4-1 loss and performance against Newcastle United on Thursday [27 April].
The result meant Everton stayed rooted to the bottom three in the Premier League two points from safety and needing to pull off a miracle in their next five games to save their English top-flight status once again.

Ahead of Monday’s pivotal relegation decider between the two clubs occupying the bottom three, Collymore believes this “huge” contest will go Leicester City’s way.
Writing in his column for the Sunday People [30 April, page 62], he wrote:
“A huge game.
“Jamie Vardy scoring the other day was relevant and he will score the winner here.”
Last-chance territory
Everton suffered yet another torrid and dire capitulation against Newcastle United, especially after starting the game so well, but it’s become a regular theme of their season so far which will be worrying Sean Dyche ahead of a tough set of fixtures to come.
The Toffees are desperately in the last-chance territory now, as the relegation picture gets ever so clearer and clearer with every passing defeat. Everton fans will need no reminders of the damage it could have on the club in the long term, with talks of administration being mentioned.

It’s now six games without a win for the Toffees which makes you wonder where their next win is coming from. Two points from safety may seem so small right now, but when you’re struggling to pick up results within these circumstances, the hope of safety begins to wane.
Dyche and his Everton team will have to pull a rabbit out of the bag somehow because their future in the English top-flight remains in serious jeopardy. With some tough games to come in the next few weeks, Monday’s contest will absolutely huge in deciding how the remainder of the campaign will go.
