Everton set price for Amadou Onana exit in case of relegation as Manchester United and Manchester City prepare for duel
Everton have set their price to allow Amadou Onana to leave this summer should they suffer relegation, with Manchester United and Man City interested.
The Toffees splashed £33m to bring the 21-year-old midfielder to Goodison Park last summer and he has been one of the stand-out performers in the team this season.
That has attracted interest from several teams, and according to Fichajes.net the two Manchester clubs are ready to enter an “intense duel” for his signature after Everton put a £20m price on his head in the event they fail to secure their Premier League status.

“According to the latest information, Everton would put a starting price for Amadou Onana of close to 25 million euros if he finally descends to the Championship,” they wrote (1 May).
“This figure is more than affordable for the two Manchester teams, who would experience an intense duel in the offices.”
Impossible
If Everton get relegated then it won’t be a surprise to see Onana leave the club, because he’s simply far too good to not be playing in the top flight.
It’s also true that he is one of the biggest saleable assets the club has and our financial situation mixed with relegation would mean we have essentially no choice but to sell him.

But to claim that we would sell our best player at a discount price when he is the player we could definitely get the most money for, and for even less money than we signed him for just a year ago is mental.
City and Manchester United would be willing to pay far more than that to bring in the Belgium international and everyone knows that we would be able to secure at least £60m for his sale.
Its genuinely impossible to believe that Everton would even consider a sale for that amount, so this seems like one to ignore in reality.
