Everton ace Nathan Patterson sends nine-word message to Seamus Coleman after injury news
Everton ace Nathan Patterson has sent a nine-word message to teammate Seamus Coleman after the latter was stretchered off against Leicester City on Monday (1 April).
The Toffees captain was forced off the pitch just before half-time in the match at the King Power Stadium following a firm challenge by Boubakary Soumare, with Sean Dyche saying the injury “could be serious,” as per the Liverpool Echo.
The Leicester midfielder was cautioned for his poor tackle, with Coleman receiving lengthy treatment before being replaced by Patterson.

“Need to keep fighting,” Patterson wrote on Instagram. “Away support fantastic.
“All thoughts with Seamus right now. Gutted for him.”

Huge miss
Coleman has been one of Everton’s most important players at both ends of the pitch for several years now. But his efforts have not only been limited to the turf, with the captain also a key figure in and around the dressing room.
He looks set to miss the remainder of the campaign with a knee injury sustained in the tackle. The Toffees are, therefore, very likely to be without the defender for their fixtures against Brighton, Manchester City, Wolves and Bournemouth, in what is a massive blow for Dyche and indeed the entire team.
His leadership at the back will be sorely missed, with Everton having been really short on such figures this season.
Coleman’s experience and determination to grind out points would have massively helped the Merseyside club in their fight for survival, with a lot of that pressure now set to be on the younger players, including Patterson.
The Scot is a natural replacement for Coleman, but has nowhere near the same experience and know-how that the Republic of Ireland international boasts.
