Simon Jordan slams Everton ace Michael Keane live on talkSPORT after Leicester draw

Simon Jordan has slammed Everton defender Michael Keane who was “all over the place” in his club’s draw with Leicester City on Monday (1 May).

The centre-back started and played the entire 90 minutes in the 2-2 draw at the King Power Stadium.

The results leaves Everton sitting 19th in the Premier League table with just four matches remaining.

“Defensively they were all over the place,” Jordan said live on talkSPORT. “Michael Keane, I don’t know… I don’t want to personalise things, but some of the defending was not good enough.”

Worrying defensively

It’s been a miserable campaign for Everton, who seemed destined for relegation to the Championship given both their recent form and their tricky remaining fixtures.

The Toffees are now without a win in their last seven matches, last picking up three points in a 1-0 win against Brentford on 11 March.

And they have two huge challenges up next when they travel to Brighton and host Manchester City, with both of those clubs going strong this season. Everton also have fixtures against Wolves and Bournemouth to come.

It has been a strange season for the Merseyside outfit, who at one point boasted one of the best defensive records in the league. But they have been leaking goals lately, with their defensive mishaps coming at the wrong time of the season.

Four cup finals await Sean Dyche and his players, with the relegation battle set to go down to the wire, with the Foxes also in real danger of dropping down to the Championship after the stalemate.
