Injury expert shares Everton update ahead of Premier League clash v Brighton
Everton are set to be without five first-team players for their Premier League clash against Brighton on Monday evening, according to injury expert, Ben Dinnery.
The Toffees head to the South Coast in 19th position after their 2-2 draw against Leicester City on Monday night (1 May).
Seamus Coleman is the latest player to join Sean Dyche’s injury list after sustaining a nasty knee injury during the clash against the Foxes.

Andros Townsend and Ruben Vinagre are both long-term absentees from Everton’s squad. Dele Alli is also back on Merseyside to receive treatment after being banished from Besiktas’ plans. Ben Godfrey is also “ruled out” by Dinnery (Premier injuries).
Blow
If only Dyche had eleven Colemans to call on during the run-in. Unfortunately, after his horror injury last night, he probably won’t play again in an Everton shirt. He’s 34 and unlikely to be able to make a full recovery.
The performance at the King Power was certainly improved, in fact, the Toffees were unfortunate not to leave the East Midlands with all three points. They created plenty of good chances against Dean Smith’s men, particularly in the first half. Considering how poor the Toffees have been away from home, fans will be pleased with the display.

The pressure is now firmly on the players to deliver a similar display against Brighton. The Seagulls have been one of the league’s standout teams during the 2022/23 campaign and dispatched Wolverhampton Wanderers 6-0 in their most recent league encounter. Unfortunately, it’s reached a point where draws won’t suffice. Everton need to go to the Amex and pick up what would be a shock victory.
