Jason Cundy and Jamie O’Hara share Everton relegation verdict live on talkSPORT after win v Brighton
Jason Cundy and Jamie O’Hara were hugely impressed by the Everton “masterclass” against Brighton on Monday (8 May).
The Toffees demolished the Seagulls 5-1 in their Premier League clash at the Amex to edge further towards safety.
Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dwight McNeil netted doubles for the away side as Jason Steele found the back of his own net, with Alexis MacAllister on target for the hosts.

“Everton, masterclass,” O’Hara said live on talkSPORT, with Cundy replying: “Can I just say, that Everton performance was tactically one of the best away performances I’ve seen from a club in the Premier League.
“It was absolutely on point. Brighton were off colour, they weren’t at the races, but that’s to take nothing away from Everton.”
Cundy added: “That’s the sort of performance that’s going to keep them in the Premier League, and they needed that,” to which O’Hara replied: “Desperately.”

Stunning display
It was an absolutely sensational display from Everton from start to finish, with Dyche’s men blowing away Roberto De Zerbi’s side on the south coast.
The Toffees weren’t given much of a chance by anyone going into the match, with the home side having just beaten Wolves 6-0 and Manchester United 1-0.
But the visitors started lightning quick and simply didn’t stop, ruthlessly storming into the Brighton half as much as they possibly could.
Fans of both sides couldn’t believe what they were watching, with a goal-shy Everton thumping five past Steele in an exhilarating display.
The result lifts the Merseyside outfit out of the relegation zone and into 17th place in the Premier League table, but will also lift the confidence among the squad.
And that is confidence that they will desperately need next time out when league leaders Manchester City travel to Goodison Park on Sunday (14th May).
