Besiktas push to complete Yerry Mina free transfer as Everton exit draws closer
Turkish giants Besiktas have identified Everton defender Yerry Mina as a top target for the summer window as his exit from Goodison Park draws nearer, according to Fanatik.
The 28-year-old, who joined for a big-money fee of £27.2m in 2018, and has only featured once under Sean Dyche since his appointment because of constant injury niggles and has only made three Premier League starts all season.
Takvim reported on 26 April that the Colombian was set for a move to Fenerbache with Mina reportedly asking former Besiktas player Oscar Cordoba for more information on the Turkish league.

And according to the latest report, it certainly seems like a move to Turkey seems ever so likely for the 30-year-old defender, with Besiktas joining the race for his signature.
“Colombian defender playing for Everton, one of the English Premier League teams Yerry Mina, entered Kartal’s radar.
“It was noted that the administrators, who focused on high-quality and low-cost names in the transfer, kept Mina among their priority targets in the transfer of the right defender.
“It was stated that the 28-year-old does not want to sign a new contract with Everton and plans to evaluate future offers at the end of the season. Beşiktaş Management will try to complete the operation before the league ends in order not to lose Mina to another club”, as quoted by Fanatik.
Time to go
Out of all the experienced heads at Goodison Park primed to leave because of expiring contracts, Mina’s situation is arguably the most depressing and urgent in terms of a release as his lack of availability and durability when the club have needed him most has been incredibly frustrating.
When fit and on song, Mina can be an incredible asset as he tremendously showed in his first start for Dyche in their 5-1 thrashing of Brighton on Monday [8 May].

The Colombian was a rampant and destructive force alongside James Tarkowski and given the huge games coming up for Everton, Dyche may be tempted to stick with him for the remainder of the campaign, especially given Michael Keane’s struggles in recent weeks.
However, it looks as if Mina sees his future away from Goodison Park beyond this summer, and for that reason, Everton must not stand in his way.
It’s a shame how his time at the club has ended because he is actually a really good defender when he isn’t constantly on the treatment table. There’s still much to play for in the coming weeks as Everton battles against relegation and Mina could well turn out to be an unlikely and unexpected hero in their quest for English top-flight safety.
