Everton backed by Gabby Agbonlahor and Jamie O’Hara as Manchester City ‘slip up’ eyed at Goodison Park
Gabby Agbonlahor believes Everton can 100% relish in their underdog status and nick a result in their Premier League clash against Manchester City at Goodison Park on Sunday (14 May).
Sean Dyche’s side arrive into the clash against the Premier League champions full of confidence following their 5-1 battering of Brighton on Monday evening (8 May).
The Toffees currently sit one point above the Premier League relegation zone with just three games of their season remaining after Leeds United picked up a crucial point against Newcastle on Saturday (13 May).

Speaking live on talkSPORT Phone-In, O’Hara asked Agbonlahor whether Everton could realistically get a result against Pep Guardiola’s side on Merseyside.
“100%,” Agbonlahor replied [Saturday, 13 May, 19:25pm]. “They will know that one win and that could be them confirmed in the Premier League, but even if Foden comes in, Mahrez, Alvarez, it’s still a top team isn’t it.
O’Hara said: “Yeah I think, look this game is at 2pm and Arsenal are playing at 4:30pm, and they will be looking at it and saying ‘they can slip up here Man City’, and there is a potential for them to slip up.
“Goodison Park is a tough place to go, Sean Dyche has got them playing with a style there, with this sit-in, be compact and hard to break down and then hit them on the counterattack quickly, you know, playing forward quickly.
“It worked against Brighton, and Man City cannot afford to slip up when Arsenal are playing as well.”

Goodison Park factor.
If Everton were ever to stand a chance of toppling the Premier League giants, this looks like it could be it.
The Toffees will be brimming with confidence following their five-star performance earlier this week, with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Dwight McNeil and Abdoulaye Doucoure all delivering their displays of the season when the team most needed them.
Considering that a number of Everton players are bang in form and that Manchester City arrive on the back of a tiresome Champions League clash against Real Madrid in midweek, this is as good of a chance as ever to nick a result for the ages.
One more win should be enough for the Merseyside outfit to maintain their Premier League survival, but defeat drags them right back into the mix.
With Leeds and Nottingham Forest both claiming draws on Saturday afternoon, it is all to play for heading into the final two weeks of the season.
Everton will look forward to relishing in their underdog status, and with a sell-out Goodison Park crowd behind them, anything is possible.
