Everton player Dele Alli to undergo progressive strengthening to return – Injury Expert
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Everton...
Everton attacker Dele Alli will undergo progressive strengthening and mobile building in order to return to full fitness, claims Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert believes that it’s important to bring back dynamic movements which will help the England international get back to playing football again.
Alli had been banished from the Besiktas squad and his season-ending injury saw him returning to Goodison Park where he will continue his recovery.

Speaking exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said, “There hasn’t been much information on Alli’s injury other than it’s related to the hip – which can be a number of things – and it required surgery.
“According to the player, he will miss the rest of the season. Recovery routine specifics will depend on the injury specifics but generally, it’s progressive strengthening and mobility building up to more dynamic movements.“

The 27-year-old’s deal at Everton runs out at the end of the 2024 campaign and Besiktas still hold an option to buy him in the summer.
He did not feature regularly for them, making just 13 league appearances and was named in the starting eleven on just 33 occasions.
His popularity in Turkey has also reduced with his jerseys not being demanded as they were when he initially signed for the club.
